This mod will allow you to edit your region’s highways. This could be extremely beneficial in cities where your single entrance has become extremely clogged up. It also has a feature where you see the true population of your city (i.e. 20k instead of 200k, which is totally unrealistic half the time). I don’t know the specifics of the mod, though you can watch a YouTube video on its features here.
Simcity Online Mods
My opinion? Well, I can’t really use it. The creator didn’t release the mod because he/she fears that EA will do something – either ban he/she or possibly bring the situation to court. I don’t blame this person, I’d be pretty afraid too.
If this mod were to be uploaded, though, I do not believe using it would be too risky, as Maxis does support the modding community. It may be shut down, though, because the server might be incapable of understanding all of these commands. That’s why the city size is tiny, correct? We have to keep this online mode and these servers in mind – especially their minute capacity. And yeah, yeah, we know that if they had an offline mode it would all get better. It may or may not happen, but that doesn’t change what’s happening right this second.

Unfortunately, this mod does come with a feature Maxis/EA will probably ban you for… Yup, it turns on offline mode. So, if the mod is released, use it at your own risk… And if you find a way to turn this feature off, I’m sure the mod will be perfectly fine to use and you won’t get into any trouble for doing so. And if you do, they’ll probably realize they’ve made a mistake (unless you kept offline mode on).
